Serge M. Racine

Serge M. Racine has been a senior lawyer at Séguin Racine for 23 years. He is a member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec. He is jointly in charge of the taxation division. His practice aims company presidents, general managers and managers of small, medium and large businesses: he puts at their service his vast tax experience in the context of planning, reorganization (merger and acquisition) and representation. And more particularly in the mining sector.

His tax practice includes counseling (varied legal opinions), representation before the administrative authorities (assessment and opposition) and the courts. In terms of planning, he offers advice and setting up either trusts (inter vivos and estate) or companies (by shares, persons, LLC, LLP, SA and SARL).

For the past 25 years, he has also acquired a solid experience in coordinating all aspects of Canadian and international commercial transactions, whether in the acquisition of assets or shares. Mr. Racine began his career with Canada’s Justice Department, Tax Branch, and later worked for one of Canada’s largest accounting firms, eventually starting a business in boutique law firms.

In 2012, Me Racine had a teaching position in general tax law (2nd and 3rd years) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa.

He is a director of the Stéphan Crétier Foundation.
He is a director and treasurer of the Canadian Fly Fishing Museum.
He is a director of the 3E Foundation (Eco, Efficacité, Énergétique).
