Ms. Sarah Ettedgui joined Séguin Racine’s team after completing her articles at the firm. Ms. Ettedgui holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Université de Montréal. She also holds a certificate in Advanced Comparative Law from Universidad de Costa Rica Facultad de Derecho in San José, Costa Rica. During this international student exchange program, Ms. Ettedgui studied primarily intellectual property matters and, more specifically, patents granted to pharmaceutical companies.
Ms. Ettedgui’s practice focuses on transactional and commercial law matters, particularly in the fields of corporate law, intellectual property, and securities law. Ms. Ettedgui is primarily involved in due diligence processes related to the merger and acquisition, sale, and financing of national and cross-border businesses, trading on both public and private markets.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ettedgui completed a Bachelor of Science specialized in Psychology (B.Sc.) with a focus on Clinical Neuropsychology. It was her interest in life sciences and law that led her to work in the field of intellectual property during her studies in civil law. Ms. Ettedgui’s multidisciplinary background also led her to work as a foreign law intern at the Law Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., where she received various mandates from the US Congress, US federal agencies, and US federal courts.
Ms. Ettedgui is currently enrolled in a Master of Laws specialized in Information Technology (LL.M.) and has completed the Trademark Agent Examination Prep Course given by the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.
